Open banking
Does your bank work with Navefi?
The automatic connection uses PSD2, the European open-banking law. You authorise it on your own bank’s site, with your usual credentials, and Navefi receives read access to your transactions and nothing else. It never sees your password and it cannot move money.
- Authorised under PSD2
- Read-only
- Or import a statement

Authorise once, and transactions arrive every day, already sorted.

How the connection works
- You pick the bank inside NavefiThe list shows the institutions available for your account.
- You authorise on the bank’s siteYou are redirected to the bank itself. Credentials are typed there, never here.
- The bank grants read accessNavefi can then read balances and transactions. It cannot order a payment or a transfer.
- You renew when the bank asksPSD2 requires the authorisation to be reconfirmed periodically. Navefi warns you before it lapses.

It still works: import a statement in PDF, CSV or Excel and every other feature behaves exactly the same.
Cannot find your bank?
Tell us which one. Coverage grows as institutions publish their open-banking interfaces, and knowing which ones our users hold decides the order we connect them in.
ContactQuestions about the bank connection
Can Navefi move money out of my account?
No. The authorisation you give under PSD2 is for account information, and only that. Navefi has no permission to initiate payments or transfers. It does not even operate in that category of service.
Does Navefi see my banking password?
Never. Credentials are typed on your bank’s site, on a page belonging to the bank. Navefi receives a limited, revocable access token at the end, which cannot be used to log into your online banking.
How do I revoke the authorisation?
In Navefi’s settings, or directly in your bank’s open-banking area. Either way the effect is immediate and syncing stops.
How often does it sync?
Every day. PSD2 limits how many automatic accesses are allowed per day, and Navefi spends them bringing in new transactions without you opening the application.
How much history arrives the first time?
It depends on the bank. Most return between 90 days and 24 months of transactions on the first connection. If you want more, import an older statement and Navefi merges the two without duplicating anything.
What if my bank is not on the list?
Import a statement in PDF or CSV. Automatic categories, budgets, net worth and everything else behave identically — what changes is that transactions arrive when you want them to, instead of arriving on their own.
